Without any masks

This layout is very special to me. I never made a layout with a picture of me by myself, not including my pregnancy album which in a way includes my beloved son.
The picture was taken a few minutes befor heading out to a PURIM party which is my favorite jewish holiday.
In Purim it is a costome to wear costumes and masks. this year I went as a Ballerina and I loved my costume!

spread your wings

My hubby is a big fan of RC plains and my son likes enything that has wheels or wings... this was such a perfect day we had and I wanted to create a page that will keep the memory of it.
I used patterned paper from My mind's eye, rubons from the Laundry line of My mind's eye and a flourish I cut out of felt adhesive.

If you want to see how this page came to life you can watch this video I made:

From a cookies box to a shadow box

A couple of months ago I decided that I'm going to recycle more and reduce the amount of waste that we throw away. I started to save all of our boxes, cereals and plastic containers and reuse them in a creative way
This tutorial is to show you how you can transfer an ordinary carton cookie box into a shadow box.

You'll need:
2 boxes of cookies/Cereals, one larger than the other
Masking tape
Mod podge/ other liquid glues are ok too
A brush to applicate the glue
Pen
Scissors
Papers to coat the box

Step 1
Reinforce all the sided and corners of the box with the masking tape.

Step 2
Mark along one side of the box a triangle in a distance of about 1/2 inch from the edges all around.  keep the triangle you cut out we will use it in a minute.

Step 3
Reinforce the insides of the box with the masking tape.

Step 4
Place the glue with your brush and adhere the papers to the box. this is the place to start being creative. you can make a collage or use whole sheets for this.

Step 5
Take on side of the larger box and cut it so you'll end up with one side and trace the smaller rectangle you previously cut out.

Step 6
Create your shape inside the rectangle and cut it out. Make sure to stay in the rectangle so the margins won't show later.

Step 7
adhere the panel to the margins and coat it with paper.

That's it! your'e done!
You can embellish the shadow box or leave it as it is and use it  as a storage lace or for display.

Her name was Lilu

I made a new page for my son's album.
This page is dedicated to his first love. she is 2 years older than him but to his luck she pays attention to him and he loves her so much. when he sees her, the world stops and he no longer cares about anything.

Live for Today layout

I really enjoy taking sets of photos of my son when he has the mood for it. I can't believe that boy is almost 3! it seems as if only yesterday I held him in my arms for the first time and fell in love....

for this layout I used a sketch provided from my creative scrapbook. at first I thought it would be difficult for me to play with it because this is not really my style but it turned out really good and I like it.

since the colors of the background are very vibrant I used some white acrylic paint before putting the rub-ons of the words and title.
I also used a little bit of the paint to make a thin frame for the photos so they would "pop".

This layout participates in the following challenges:

butterflies (something with wings) for Our daily bread

Bling for My sheri crafts
